What is Depression?

 
 
 

There are 90% chance that you are not in depression even if you feel you are.

I have been observing that people are using this world - “Depression” so easily & so often without knowing the true meaning of it.

Some funny incidents I saw in last few days -

1. A 10 year kid saying - “ I got 1 marks less in my class test, I am in depression.”

2. A girl saying- “ Oh my good, I don’t look good anymore, I am now Depressed.. please help me.”

3. A mom saying - “ My kids are so hyper active, they don’t listen to me. I feel depressed.”

When I hear something like this, it makes me laugh out loud. People are using this word everywhere without having a clue what it really means. It’s feels like some words are in trend & “ Depression” is one of them. So if you feel you are in Depression then good news is that 90% chances are that you are Wrong. So chill & enjoy life to the fullest.

What is Depression?

We human have two types of emotions - Positive Emotions & Negative Emotion. Happiness, Joy, Excitement, Love are called Positive Emotions & hate, jealousy, anger & Depression are called Negative Emotions. Most positive feeling in the world is Love & most negative feeling in the world is called Depression.

Depression is a mental health disorder characterised by persistently depressed mood or loss of interest in activities, causing significant impairment in daily life. It can be healed in 1-2 months.

Three ways to come out of Depression -

1. Practice Gratitude - We all know that Gratitude is this best Attitude. So if feel grateful for what you have in your life every morning then your entire day will go well.

2. Physical Exercise - People don’t know that physical exercise can not just make your body healthy but it also helps you to be mentally healthy and fit so I highly remove you to join a Gym or play sports on daily basis.

3. Love yourself - I believe you are special. I believe we all are special & we all are unique. If you fall in love with yourself then you will always be happy in life & your actions will change in such a way that you will come out of depression. Look yourself in mirror daily & tell yourself- “ I love you & accept you for who you are.”

Follow these 3 simple steps & you will come out of depression in just 1 month. Happy thoughts leads to happy life.
